I once saw a short story in a comment under a song, and it goes like this: She went home the other day and saw her boyfriend stressed out by work. She asked him, "what happened?" "Are you okay?" He said, "you are a woman, what do you know about this." She went into the bathroom, pulled out a mascara, and painted a mustache above her lips. She walked up to him and asked him, "what's been bugging you, bro?" They laughed.

Not that I am supporting these almost misogynistic words, but I think she got something right and worth mentioning here because the story falls under the same logic that makes the second episode so touching.

The kind of love between a couple, the altruisticand caring affection, is best-manifested trough those little actions that make the other person know that you are in it together when he is down. David is mortified after peeing in bed at night. Patrick gets him out of it by sharing embarrassing things about himself. He doesn't say things like, "babe, we are in this together," but he sure makes David feel that they are in this together.

I sort of imagined the story would go down to be like David finds out about the clip and goes into a very dark place, then Partick would do something to rescue him from himself and the world. To be able to write stories like this, Daniel Levy must have been through some tough time.

Sometimes I feel sad for Dan. He wrote out such an amazing and loving guy, but to have a straight guy play this character. It's both ultimate dream-come-true and harshly realistic at the same time.
